Grab, Asia’s leading rides-haring company is now beta testing GrabShare in Manila, a new commercial car-pooling service that they initially launched in Singapore.

GrabShare is a carpooling service that allows passengers to share the ride and the fare while drivers get to earn more by picking up multiple passengers going the same way. Grab said that with their matching algorithm Grabshare pairs two passenger bookings with similar trip routes within a single trip and making sure that passengers will get to their destinations in the shortest possible time.

For drivers, GrabShare maximizes earnings by reducing the time and distance spent on a single GrabShare ride, enabling drivers to complete more jobs per hour to boost their incomes and reduce fuel consumption.

In an article on Yugatech, Grab is now inviting select customers in the Metro who can try the service.
